'A deliciously fruity voice with a wicked sense of humour.'
(Time Out)

'Quite simply, an amazing voice.'
(What's On in London)

'Her performance is stunning, stopping people in their tracks in the face of such intensity.'
(Peta Webb, Women in Music)

'A brilliant performer, star of the night!'
(The Independent)

'She's a politicised, hard-hitting vocalist. Julie McNamara has been hailed as a Punk Folk singer, a wicked wit and serious comic. Whatever she pulls out of the bag she never fails to entertain.'
(Anita Lewton, Metro)

Julie collaborated with Judy Coutinho in Rebel Without A Clue (1989 - 92), funded by the Women's Support Network, Rebel performed a tour in the six counties. First stop was Belfast - Madden's Bar, arriving on the night of the first ever extradition of a political prisoner from Dublin to the north. Let's just say, the party started with fireworks.
